Here is a question that has come to my mind: can an individual truly be just one auric color? I can’t say for sure, but it’s been my experience that people tend to use different personality patterns for various purposes. Sandra Seich, author of the ANSIR® personality test and book Three Sides of You was planning on collaborating with Dr. Bowers before “Doc’s” untimely death. (ANSIR® stands for A New Standard In Relating.) The 14 personality Styles in the ANSIR® system are very similar to Bower’s—but with some marked differences. In Seich’s system and test, there are 3 realms in which the 14 personality patterns operate: Thinking, Working, and Emoting. This follows the ancient belief that humans are triune beings. So not only can an individual have different dominant personality patterns in each of the 3 realms, but there are layers of other personality patterns below the top layer.
If humans contain 3 realms of operating (Thinking, Working, and Emoting) and each of those 3 realms can have 14 different personality/auric patterns in a layered form, then it would seem that humans are indeed hybrids. So if an individual can discern auric colors, just what are they seeing? If they only see blue, what does that mean? Or Indigo? Or Crystal? In my opinion, Seich’s system answers this as well. In the ANSIR® system, each individual has a “Boss”. A Boss is the one dominant personality pattern where the individual finds fulfillment. Some people find fulfillment in the Emoting realm—relationships. In the ANSIR® system, an individual is assigned a Profile Boss. Boss determines Life Purpose; that is, this purpose draws together innate strengths and talents of dominant support Styles (the other 2 Styles in the profile that aren't Boss) and pretty much dictates and shapes these Styles toward self fulfillment. Life Purpose is never Thinking--only Working and Emoting.
I believe the auric colors that are visible to those who can see them are indicative of the individual’s Boss, or Life Purpose. This also explains why some disagree about certain Indigo traits, as well. In the ANSIR® system, Indigo correlates to the Philosopher Style and Crystal correlates with the Healer Style. Interestingly, the Philosopher description is very close to what has been said about Indigos in books such as The Indigo Children. The Crystal description shares very similar characteristics to that of the Healer Style. Healers and Philosophers can both “chameleon”, according to Seich. Both have a mandate to heal, and chameleoning is a way to take on another’s energy, find out what’s wrong, back out, and then heal. As such, both Philosophers and Crystals can appear like other Styles. Confident Crystals and Philosophers retain their gifts and purposes, but unconfident ones “forget” who they really are—and will actually adopt the energy of the one they have merged with.
There are a few differences between Healers and Philosophers. Healers value harmony and are non-confrontational. Philosophers often buck the status-quo and can often be considered “troublemakers”, especially to those who try to lie to them and those that de-humanize others. Healers usually heal best in one-on-one settings. Philosophers are Healers “plus” and tend to work with/address the masses. Healers are conscientious of having their ducks in a row with regards to degrees and certifications. Philosophers, while they may indeed be educated, tend to do what they do despite having no formal education. Healers often heal by changing perspectives, while Philosophers encourage individuality. Both Healers and Philosophers have wisdom beyond their years, and are an integral part of healing the planet.
